Green Data Center

Datacenter power and cooling are two of the biggest issues facing IT organizations today, and growing companies need a way to control these costs while enabling future expansion. With more efficient datacenters, IT organizations can better manage increased computing, network, and storage demands, lower energy costs, and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO)—all while remaining competitive and able to meet future business needs. Our green data center is a repository for the storage, management, and dissemination of data in which the mechanical, lighting, electrical and computer systems are designed for maximum energy efficiency and minimum environmental impact. The construction and operation of a green data center includes advanced technologies and strategies. If you choose one of our green configurations, Angelsvista will work with NativeEnergy to offset carbon emissions produced by your server for 12 months.

Reducing Carbon Footprints

Datacenter Carbon Footprints Emission ReportAngelsvista Mercury provides a green web hosting platform. We have made a strong commitment to help fight pollution and preserving our natural resources. AMD Opteron powered servers use sixty percent less energy and generate fifty percent less heat. With our proprietory storage virtualization software , it is possible to shutdown unneeded servers within no time.

The virtualization software will keep track of the server space and remap applications to different physical locations as necessary to achieve optimal efficiency. Thus, information can be made location independent and redirected across multiple I/O devices from different vendors.

Improving Efficiency

Efficiency is our goal. From our very first servers extracting maximum performance per watt of delivered power has allowed the scale and scope of our services to grow exponentially. It’s good for the environment and good for business too.

Our servers uses half as much energy as a typical enterprise server to power the same amount of computing. We have achieved this improvement over industry standards through the use of increasingly efficient power supplies and cooling technology.

In addition to continually working to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with running our servers, we have taken actions to directly reduce the environmental impact associated with other aspects of our operations as well.

As a first step, we’re gradually retrofitting our global offices with high-efficiency lighting, optimizing our use of natural light, and using better building control systems. We’re also looking to reduce – and eventually eliminate – the use of incandescent light bulbs in our offices and replace them with more efficient fluorescent bulbs. We’re planning to expand our use of power management software for desktop computers, as well as motion sensors and other lighting controls that further reduce our power usage. Finally, Angelsvista Mercury is in the process of performing extensive energy audits to better understand precisely how much electricity we consume – and in what ways – so that we can optimize our systems to demand as little energy as possible to make it more efficient than ever.
